Even though the fundmentalist Islamics managed to ruin every Christian and Jew in the world, there would still not be peace in the Middle-east. Islam has a few sects, ie: Shia, Sunni, Sufi, Kahrijite, Wahhabi, Nizari (also called 'Assassins ') and more. Several sects believe since they follow the wrong sect that supporters of other sects are low followers. The thing that keeps them from destroying one another could be the old saying, 'an enemy of my enemy is my friend.' So long as there are Christians and Jews to hate, they'll, virtually, leave each other alone. Kessler Cahill
