Almost Everyone Loves Raymond and it is not surprising either. The comedy series thrilled people throughout the world even though the plot was centered on a classic idea of battling wives, nosy in laws and everyday activity problems. However, it had been the skills of the actors that were able to make the difference. The show is focused on the household, however, it also manages to show how frustrating people can really be at times.

The lead character of Raymond is played by Ray Romano who is sports author and a father and husband in Long Island. He's very neurotic and sometimes even self-absorbed. Raymond's wife is Debra, performed by Patricia Heaton who's quite important and sometimes very challenging. The pair has three children, a daughter and twin boys.

One other members of the family live right next door which include his parents, Marie played by Doris Roberts and Frank played by Peter Boyle. Frank is very blunt, frank and sometimes plain nasty. Debra on the other-hand is just a opposite. She is very critical of her daughter-in-law and feels that she is the most readily useful cook and mother. Debra also gets quite smothering often to her sons and is dreaded by Raymond. Yet another important character on the display is Raymond's brother Robert played by Brad Garrett who's a giant police. John loves his mother and can not move away from her while he's often over-shadowed by his brother.

Raymond always finds himself in odd circumstances and interesting encounters. He's a family but he still needs his freedom to accomplish male stuff sometimes. He is often divided between his wife and his mother and is often the mediator between the two of them. Raymond's parents too make an appealing pair, they're always fighting and bickering while Frank significantly more than usually says nasty stuff about his wife and yet they do love one another.
