Positioned in the exact middle of the state, Kansas is an agricultural state where you can escape the rat race. Iowa real estate is plentiful and cheap.
Iowa
Iowa is about as Midwestern because it gets when you think of stereotypes. Agriculture dominates the state with wheat fields going through the state. While you won't find oceans or rivers, the state provides plenty of opportunities for camping, climbing, fishing and a variety of outdoor activities. Football and baseball are popular through the state. If youre surviving in a high tension high cost state, Kansas represents an opportunity to step right back from the turmoil. Youll look for a far more comfortable pace of life and inexpensive cost of living in the state.
Kansas City
Frequently mistaken as a place, Kansas City is actually a growing city. Extension and develop-ment seems non-stop and has resulted in somewhat of city sprawl. Still, the town is surprisingly cosmopolitan. Renovations for the downtown area, particularly the River Walk about the Missouri River, make the town a vibrant center of lifestyle and activities. Stroll to the Westport area and youll take the heart of high-class restaurants and luxury stores. Kansas City is just a barbeque town and the city knows how to produce the finest barbeque food on the planet. Be sure you try it. For rushing enthusiast, Kansas City has recently built a significant speedway.
A lot of Kansas City is actually in Missouri, but we're including it here due to the name. Confusing, eh?
Lawrence
Sitting to the Kansas River, Lawrence is an excellent little university town. Home to the University of Kansas, the town is just a liberal small town in a state known to be conservative. Youll find brick buildings and odd little shops in-the city. Basketball policies in this community with the supporters dying and living with each game played by the college staff, the Kansas Jayhawks. If people desire to learn further about understandable, there are many on-line databases you could investigate.
Wichita
Wichita is the biggest city in Kansas since Kansas City is often considered to be a city in Missouri. Previously a fairly downtrodden place, Wichita has seen a resurgence with devel-opment in the downtown area and along the Arkansas River, which divides the city. There isnt something specially attractive or unattractive about the city. It is merely a place to raise a family and very inexpensive.
Kansas Real Estate
Iowa real estate is quite low priced and in plentiful supply. A house in Wichita will be in the $150,000 range, while youll need yet another $80,000 in Lawrence. The exact same home in Kansas City may run around $190,000.
Kansas property didn't enjoy at any great rate in 2005, as was common throughout the Midwest. Positioned in the bottom ten among all states, Kansas property appreciated in a rate of 5.5 percent.
