-- 3 tablespoons lowfat milk

Bacon and banana french toast

This one is so easy and sure to impress any special breakfast guest, if you know what I mean?

What you would need:

* A loaf of bread, Vienna loaf if possible but if no actual thick bread can do
* 4 Rashers of bacon
* 2 bananas
* brown sugar
* butter
* 4 eggs (free range, organic of course)
* 100ml cream
* Maple Syrup
* Ice-cream (Optional)

Serves 2

The Approach:

1. OK so whisk the eggs together with the cream and a pinch of salt. Make sure all the yolk has broken down and it's all combined nicely. Dip the bread into the egg mix and coat both sides.
2. Throw it into a fry pan with some butter on a medium heat until golden brown on each side. About four or five minutes should do it.
3. Meanwhile fry up your bacon until it's pleasant and crispy and then drain on some kitchen paper.
4. Chop up your banana and throw this in a fry pan on a medium heat with loads of butter and a sprinkling of brown sugar. The banana will break down very rapidly so be sure that you don't turn it to mush.

To serve, place one rasher of bacon on top of the french toast recipes, place the next piece of toast on top and cover with the banana. Drizzle with warm maple syrup depending how sweet you enjoy it.

Also great with a scoop of top quality vanilla ice cream but this is discretionary. These Toppers also go well with crepes and pancakes Find Out More.
